I had the pleasure of trying the City of Dreams Vienna Lager during my visit, and I was thoroughly impressed by the smooth and crisp flavor profile. The hints of caramel and malt made for a truly enjoyable drinking experience.
If you find yourself in Newmarket, be sure to stop by The George Brewing Co. for a taste of their delicious craft beer selection. You won't be disappointed!
Came on a beautiful Sunday and got seated on the patio. Got 2 different flights of beers & ciders. I’d say 6/8 were really good. The other two really just weren’t to my liking but always game to try something new! Got pretzels and those beef dip which the waiter said everyone loves, I can see why because it was awesome. Overall great service, and great food and drinks. Patio is nice on Main Street. Will be back. Thanks
Went here randomly one afternoon after ice fishing and was BLOWN AWAY! Incredible service by James (so friendly and attentive but not invasive), hands down delicious food, and their beers were so good we walked out with 2 x 6 packs! Highly recommend this place!
Two years ago i went with my aunt for the first time, everything was amazing, & still is! since then I've been there alone, with my baby as well with family and friends; always a great time. It has the BEST beer, service, food, and a super cool atmosphere. 100% the go to place in Newmarket for drinks or food! Can't wait to go back again this summer to enjoy their patio
I loved my visit to The George. If you're in downtown Newmarket and want a pint and great meal this is your place. There is a great selection of beer. I enjoyed the Vienna Lager the most, but that isn't to say that all the beers in my flight weren't tasty. I had an open faced brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries and the portions were great. The only minor niggle I would say is that the sandwich was on corn bread and not something more solid. When I would cut the sandwich the bread would just fall apart. But all the food was tasty and I was very satisfied. Service was a great part of The George too. Anastasia was our server and she provided great service and always had a bright smile on her face. All staff I spoke with were also friendly and easy going. There's a good amount of seating inside and some tables outside too if you visit in the summertime. The location is downtown on the main strip so there isn't any parking lot dedicated. You will have to find street parking and walk. It's worth the walk.
I had a great experience tonight at the George! Although very busy and short-staffed tonight, the server provided better service than I have seen at fully staffed restaurants. Not once did we have to ask for anything, and he even comped our appetizer and gave us free beer samples just because our food took a little long to come out (which is totally understandable considering the volume of customers and lack of staff at the time). What makes it even better is we didn’t even mention the wait time, as we were happy having a couple drinks and catching up with eachother. They know how to treat their customers and they do it well. Every time I visit the George it’s always a great experience and I’m always happy to recommend them to a friend.
Great food and drinks. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was outstanding! Liam was our server and was very knowledgeable and super friendly. Was the best service I have had in a long time.
Super atmosphere Excellent service Great decor Very clean Fantastic portions Superbly tasting and fresh quality ingredients Great menu items Reasonable pricing Excellent house made craft beers including radler, creamsoda, and much more. Schnitzel platter was excellent including all the sides. Fried Chicken is in the top three I’ve ever had as was the Mac and cheese - perfectly cheese and not runny. I’m not a potato salad person but yet loved theirs. Gravy was delicious however when it came to taking my fork to stir the gravy it was not liquid like anymore it was clumpy, an indicator that this was a mix. This being stated in spite of the texture not being perfect it was actually quite delicious and wanted more! Was there in a n extremely hot day, and unlike other neighbouring restaurants whose air conditions left the restaurant too warm to eat in, George’s was perfectly comfortable. Another key note, their unlimited soft drink service was also excellent. I advised my lovely waitress to keep the iced tea coming as soon as she noticed my glass low and this she did - 4.5 pints of iced tea!! Thank you all for the great experience and I’m coming back for more again!
Located in downtown Newmarket, The George Brew House & Eatery offers an exceptional venue for evening gatherings with friends. My friend and I stumbled upon this gem and were delighted to discover their in-house brewed beer, which was light, flavorful, and thoroughly enjoyable. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot to unwind. We indulged in their organic french fries, reminiscent of homemade comfort food, and their chicken wings, which were uniquely delicious. If you find yourself in Newmarket or are planning a visit, I highly recommend stopping by The George to savor their craft beer and delectable dishes.
